Hi, I’m Heidi. I started doing hair in 1989, & in 1991 we opened Sun Island. I love helping people feel better about themselves. I’m a wife & mother of 2 grown children. When I’m not at the salon, I love to sit by a pool & hang out with my family & friends!
KRIS
Hi, I’m Kris! I’ve been at Sun Island since 1993. I have a passion for doing color, highlights & haircuts! And I love getting to know my clients! When I’m not doing hair, I love to spend time with my husband Chad & our 3 kids!
ABBY
I feel incredibly lucky to have spent more than 25 years doing something I truly love. Being a hairstylist at SunIsland has given me the opportunity to build lasting relationships with so many wonderful clients, and I'm gratful every day for a career that brings me so much joy. Outside of the salon, my husband and family are my world. We love being active and , more than anything, watching our kids do the things they love. Whether we're cheering them on from the sidelines, sitting in the seats watching the stage or simply enjoying time together, we love being there for all of it. I feel so blessed to watch our kids grow, pursue their passions, and make memories along the way. I love making the most of my life with the people I love-and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Hi, I’m Mary Jo! My career at Sun Island began in 2003, I have thoroughly enjoyed using my creative abilities & building relationships! When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending time with my husband & 2 boys, as well as enjoying the outdoors!

Hi, my name is Julie. I joined the Sun Island team in 1994 as a receptionist and became a hairstylist in 1997. I took a few years off when my kiddos were young, but then came back to Sun Island in 2013 and have loved being back behind the chair! When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband, Matt and our three kids!
AMBER
Hi, my name is Amber & I have been a stylist since 2007. Being a stylist has been something I've always wanted to do since I was little. I love that I get to play with hair all day. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband & kids.
KAYLI
Hi, my name is Kayli & I graduated from the Salon Professional Academy in August of 2018. I started my hair career at Sun Island in December of 2018. I am 19 years old & the oldest of 5 children. I have a passion for doing hair & making people feel beautiful. I love going to Holland State Park in the summer & spending time with my friends!
MADDIE
Hi, I’m Maddie! I started working at SunIsland in 2017! I’m blessed to do what I love for a career and build amazing relationships with clients. When I’m not at the salon, my fiancé and I love being on Lake Michigan, watching sports, or driving around at Silver Lake!
EMMA
Hi, my name is Emma & I graduated from the French Academy of Cosmetology in 2025. As a nail technician, I will bring forth advanced technical abilities and the desire to provide clients with the best experience possible, I specialize in builder gel and simple nail art for clean natural nails.
